Story of CHECKus Media Group

With a background in political science, everyone expected that he could be active in a completely different industry. He was focused on current political issues, social science, but sometimes you destiny shows you different way…and ths path lead him to marketing. 

Starting in Zuno Bank, he gained wider knowledge of financial industry – about its system, how it works and what people need or at least want to hear. Later he joined the team in World Business Press online, a company providing proprietary information system for trading, with the major focus on unique lock-up stories.

Here Mr. Kazan decided that his life requires further step – and that was his own company – CHECKus Media Group.

Starting from scratch, he was able to combine a team of professionals, focused on different aspects of the financial industry online marketing. But let’s rather ask him about the progress, he has made.

How did you come up with the idea to start your own company?

“I missed something in my previous jobs. I believe it was the wider space of activities, I could not do there. Most of the companies tend to have a strict frame, in which you have can work, nothing more. I somehow felt that I need a change, something to be managed by me, on my own.”

So your company – CHECKus Media Group – was set that time?

“Actually, not that quickly. It was a longer process of development. Firstly I started to work on individual campaigns with my friend, then another one joined the team…And somehow, after couple of first case studies, we managed to push it forward and created this brand, known to many clients in the financial industry.”

What was the focus at the beginning?

“We started with forex traders. Our clients were banks or forex brokers, who needed traffic on CPM or CPL model (*cost per impression, cost per lead). Then some of our clients started to use our services more and more…and then these conferences came.”

Conferences, expos..do you think this was the so-called game-changer?

“Well…sort of. Firstly we went to Macau. It was ok, but we just spoke to some people, watched how it worked, etc. This only cost us money. But then other expos came and we came up with the idea – we can organize our own.”

You mean the Forex Expo in Bratislava?

“Yes, exactly. It was pretty exhausting, but the outcome – that was great. Many people turned to us, it helped the brand. You’re immediately visible. And that was what we needed. Another step achieved.”

From that time, what expos or conferences did you attend or organized?

“We participated on a ShowFx World Financial Conference, held in Bratislava again. This was also a success, we were surprised how many people came to learn more about the markets. It was more educational now.

Besides this, I attended Dubai, Findating in Geneva and couple of others and I can say, that the progress of CHECKus Media Group is visible now even more. Now we can talk seriously with wellknown brands.”

As a successful CEO, what about your personal life? What about your goals there?

“Family. The most important is family. My second son was born at the beginning of this year and every child turns your life upside down. Naturally, I have to work permanently, but I am trying to be the best father for them as I can.”

I believe, there is a time for everyone to grasp this completely. As it is the end of the interview, can you recommend anything to our readers, how to be successful?

“I like the quote of Winston Churchill, stating: Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm. I believe that this is the only way. To be consistent and move forward.”
